- About Us
The OPUS Editor is responsible for the running of student-led Opus magazine, which includes the editing of the physical magazine, online content, podcast and more.
They act as the point between the student contributors, graphic designer and the student body. They showcase student news, creativity and the latest work of students to everyone at the university.
Hey, I’m Mel Jenkins, your Editor of the OPUS magazine and fellow student studying a Bachelor of Communications with a Public Relations major. So far, I’ve been loving my degree over at the NUspace campus (away from the mosquitos) and am so excited to be a part of the UNSA team.
As Editor, I want to give as many people as possible the opportunity to write for us and showcase their creativity in a variety of forms, both online and in the hard-copy mag. After all, the OPUS magazine is for students, by students, so if you have something you want to share or say, let me know and let’s SAY IT!
In my free time, which there is little of, you’ll find me reading at the beach, going on scenic walks, having a lil boogie at the club with friends (despite lacking major dancing abilities), crocheting, and playing netball. I absolutely LOVE camping, a frozen watermelon margarita (the ones at Beach Burrito Co are to die for), and a good sunrise but, ironically, am not a morning person. I can also talk and talk for days hence why I’m wrapping this up now…
