For many students, it can be incredibly challenging to work full-time (or even part-time) while giving your degree the full focus it requires. When money is tight, it can be hard to keep the fridge and pantry stocked, and maintain a healthy diet week to week. The UNSA Pantry is a collection of food initiatives designed to address the growing levels of food insecurity amongst students at the University of Newcastle.

Welcome to the UNSA Pantry

Looking to help? Your food donation will directly help students at the University of Newcastle.

UNSA’s Grocery Hub is entirely dependent on food donations from university staff, students, and the wider community. If you’re in a position to donate food, we’d love to get you involved! You can help us by popping in an extra item or two into your weekly shopping and bringing it along to your closest UNSA Grocery Hub (Callaghan, Ourimbah, or NUspace City Campus Library).

Please find below some examples of long-life pantry items you can donate. All items should be sealed, not expired, with packaging labels intact.

If you’re part of a university department looking to collect regular donations on our behalf, you can download and print our signage here.
