- About Us
Learn and practice sign language skills in a social and supportive environment, while engaging and collaborating with Deaf community and culture. All skill levels welcome.
BREAATHHE advocates for current University of Newcastle students studying health related degrees, by providing scholarships, soirees (you’ll get to hear from some of Australia’s most fascinating rural health practitioners and their experiences in rural health), skills nights (where you’ll get to learn various new skills from your fellow future-colleagues) and access to heavily subsidised first aid and CPR courses (a necessity for most placements).
BREAATHHE is also involved in several programs that facilitate the education and exposure of rural high school students to the varied career opportunities in health.
As a member of BREAATHHE you’ll get access to all these events (and more) for free or prices that you just simply could not say no to. It’s a one-time sign-up that costs $5 and lasts your entire degree, so why not?
We aim to unite the Radiation Therapy Students from the different years, arrange social activities and Radiation Therapy workshops. We also aim to raise awareness of cancer and cancer screening, educate the public about Radiation Therapy and help with fundraising for cancer organizations and research.

We’re a writers group for students at UON providing writers with regular meet-ups, events and workshops, as well as other opportunities such as publication in our annual anthology and showcasing their writer achievements.

The UON Social Club was created to help students meet new people across a range of degrees and interests. We aim to run low stress events where you can talk to new people and build friendships.
We encourage students to share any event ideas we can help turn into a reality. Contact us if you would like to learn more!
The University of Newcastle Quidditch Club is a sporting and social club for students to play quidditch and make friends. We run a variety of quidditch based events and social hangouts. New members – of all genders and fitness levels – are always very welcome!
We're one of the cheapest sports on campus, and we train regularly as well as attending tournaments to play as our representative team, the Newcastle Fireballs.
