The Biology HDR Society involves between 10 to 20 members including PhD students, honours students and undergraduate students, and is associated with academics, research fellows and research assistants from over 15 research laboratories within the Discipline of Biology. The HDR society offers a fantastic opportunity for students to collaborate and discuss their various research objectives.
The main objective of the society is to plan fundraising events to go towards the annual Biology HDR Conference at the end of the year.
The HDR conference provides an opportunity for PhD students to present their work and to give their confirmation presentation, which is a compulsory milestone during their PhD.
Occasionally, the committee will host events that are simply to engage the Biology HDR students and create a sense of community between the disciplines.
