The Queer Collective is the University's autonomous representative body for LGBTQIA+, queer or questioning students. We’re funded, supported and part of the University of Newcastle Students Association (UNSA).
The group meets regularly and hosts events, meetings and activities to raise awareness for queer issues, provide social support, create a sense of community and inclusion on campus. We have a wonderful Queer Space in the UNSA building that members of the queer community can access to meet similar folk, access resources and relax between classes.
The Queer Collective is lead by the Queer Convener, who can be contacted via this page. We also have a Facebook page and closed group specifically for queer students to give direct online social support, advertise events and to promote health and well-being. For more info, just shoot us a message!
